In the fall of 2012, a young girl from Bergen took the stage at Norway’s Got Talent. From this little body emerged a crystal clear voice that melted the audience and the judges’ hearts, and secured her a spot in the series finale, plus an invitation to audition for the title role in the stage production of the musical ”Annie”. Mathea-Mari got the part, and in 2013 as ”Annie” became a smash hit, ”the young girl with the long hair’s” name were on everyone’s lips.
In 2014 she returned to once again melt hearts when she won the Norwegian song contest for juniors; Melodi Grand Prix Jr, with ”#online”, a song she wrote to question the presence of children and youths in social media.
At only 15 years old, with close to one hundred shows and numerous television appearances over the last two years, Mathea-Mari has more stage experience than most people dream about. For the past year, this young talent has spent countless hours in the studio, and she cannot wait to share her new songs with the audience. 2018-2019 she´s in college studying music at LIMPI, witch she´s super excited about. I already know it’s an artist and musician I want to be. I have no plan B.
When Mathea-Mari released her new track ”One of Them” in 2016, it was with another important message to her generation: - I have become very fond of ”One of Them”. It puts my personal feelings into words, and it’s an honest song I know many youths will relate to, says the conciencious teenager from Bergen.
